The Settings dialog box is used to customize the program. “General” tab- Language – select the language of the program interface.
- Load at Windows startup – select this checkbox if you want the program to automatically load together with Windows
- Minimize to the tray – select this checkbox if you want the program to be minimized into the tray when you click the close button.
- Wrap by words – select the checkbox if you want all tasks with long names to be wrapped into several lines.
- Date format – select the format to be used to display date in the task tree
- Back up data on exit – select this checkbox if you want to back up your database. We strongly recommend that you select this checkbox.
- To the folder – specify the folder where the program will store backups. By default, it is the backup folder located in the current LeaderTask folder.
“Calendar” tab- Scale step – specify the step in the calendar
- Weekdays – select weekdays. Select values for weekdays. The week starts on – select the first day of the week. Day start – the time when the weekday starts, Day end – the time when the weekday ends.
- Compress days – select this checkbox if you want to display Saturday and Sunday in the compressed view.
“Interface” tab- Task table style – select the style of the task tree table.
- Grid style – select the grid style for the task tree table.
- Draw vertical lines – select this checkbox if you want vertical lines in the task tree to be drawn
- Blending with the table (%) – specify how much the color should blend with the table
- Blending with lines (%) – specify how much the color should blend with lines
“Notes” tab- Default note font – specify the default font and its size for notes.
- Show the name bar in the note editor – select this checkbox if necessary.
- Automatically paste data from the clipboard – slect this checkbox if necessary
“Tasks” tab- Task font – specify the task font for displaying all tasks in the tree.
- Set the end date to the current date if it is completed – select this checkbox if necessary.
- Create tasks when you type – select this checkbox if you want to add tasks by typing directly in the task tree.
“Warning” tabSelect the checkboxes of those warnings that you want to see once the corresponding event occurs. “Advanced” tab- Show the total number of tasks in the Navigator – the option is applied only after you restart the program. The Navigator will show the number of tasks in each element.
- Shadow the column the data is sorted by –select this checkbox if necessary.
- Ignore highlighted tasks while printing – we recommend that you select this checkbox if you have a black-and-white printer
- Highlight days with tasks in bold – the option is applied to the period calendar in the Navigator.
- Do not change the end date when you move the task to the calendar –select this checkbox if necessary.
- Show the week number – the option is applied to the period calendar in the Navigator.
- Change the parent task when you drag a task to another project/category/contact – select this checkbox if necessary.
