The distribution package of the program (ltcompany.zip) contains two installation files:
ltcompany.exe – client installation
ltserver.exe – server installation

Before you install the program, make sure you use the latest version. The latest version is available at http://www.leadertask.com/download/ltcompany.zip

1. First, install LeaderTask Company Management clients (ltcompany.exe) on the computers of all employees.

2. Install LeaderTask Server (ltserver.exe) on one computer (it is recommended that this computer has a static IP-address and is on when employees are at work). The performance of LeaderTask Sever depends on the performance of the computer it is installed on.

3. The server has no limitations regarding the number of employees in the demo mode. The only limitation is that it works only 45 days after the installation.

How to activate a purchased license.

After you pay for your order, you will receive a message with the registration file (activate_leadercommand.lckey) sent to your e-mail address. If you do not receive a registration key after the payment, send a message to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

To activate all employees and the server, you should save this key file in the folder where LeaderTask Server is installed.

4. Close LeaderTask Server after that (close it, not just minimize it to the tray!)

5. It is necessary to do the following:

5.1. In the built-in Windows firewall (on the server computer) adjust the Full Trust for leacomserver.exe application.

There must be a rule for all incoming and outcoming connections for all ports (for ports of the WHOLE diapason), because the access of the LeaderTask client’s part to the LeaderTask server’s part can be by ANY port of the diapason.

5.2. In the built-in Windows firewall (on all computers of the Network where LeaderTask is installed) adjust the Full Trust for leadercommand.exe application.

5.3. If you have another firewalls, you have to do the same actions, that are described in steps 5.1 and 5.2.

5.4. If you have an anti-virus program (on the server computer), you have to add leacomserver.exe to the list of trusted applications.

5.5. If you have an anti-virus program (on all computers of the Network where LeaderTask is installed), you have to add leadercommand.exe to the list of trusted applications.

6. Restart LeaderTask Server.

7. Connect all client components you need to the server component

Connection Settingns

Every employee in LeaderTask connection settings (Options — Connection settings) has to enter the following information:

  1. IP-address of the computer LeaderTask Server is installed on
  2. Port: 8050.
  3. User name (Employees have to enter unique names)

NB. How to get the IP-address of the computer LeaderTask Server is installed on?

To get the IP-address of the server it is necessary to look up the status line of LeaderTask Server which is in the bottom of the application:

8. Activate your employees

LeaderTask Activation of Users

Right-click the employee (the employee MUST be online) and select «Activate». You have to repeat this action for all employees.

9. Set the chief

There can be only one chief in the system. In the LeaderTask Server window right-click the user and select «Set to chief».

10. Set the tasks visibility settings

Right-click the user in LeaderTask Server window and select «Sees assigned tasks of Users…»

11. The system is installed!
